Objective:
To protect, restore and sustainably manage the natural environment while strengthening community and ecosystem resilience through three interconnected pillars:
- Sustainability: Promote sustainable environmental practices, ecosystem restoration, biodiversity conservation, sustainable natural resource management and nature-based solutions.
- Innovation: Advance climate-smart and sustainable agriculture, including agroforestry and other innovative land-use practices, to strengthen food security, livelihoods, soil health and ecological balance.
- Resilience: Strengthen environmental and community resilience through climate change adaptation and mitigation, environmental risk reduction, landscape restoration and measures that enhance the capacity of people and ecosystems to withstand climate-related shocks and stresses.
ELOHIM Foundation promotes environmental sustainability through integrated programmes that address climate change, ecosystem degradation, and pollution while advancing circular economy solutions. Our interventions include forestation and ecological restoration, biodiversity conservation, environmental education, climate change adaptation programming and research, environmental safety, disaster risk reduction and recovery, watershed management, and food security through climate-smart agriculture.
ELOHIM Foundation’s Environmental Intervention Programmes are implemented through people-centred approaches that engage governments, private sector actors, research institutions, and local communities to strengthen policies, systems, and practical solutions for environmental sustainability.
In addition, ELOHIM Foundation promotes integrated agroforestry systems in strong partnership with government and communities as a nature-based climate adaptation solution. These initiatives support ecological restoration of degraded land, enhance biodiversity conservation, strengthen climate resilience, and provide culturally appropriate and economically viable livelihood opportunities—particularly for rural women and youth.
