Community/Public healthcare and support services:
Program Objective:
To provide community based public health intervention: health promotion and point of care services, while creating demand for service uptake and behaviour change towards the reduction of public health diseases among the general and key population groups.
Elohim Foundation Public/Community health intervention is focused on four communicable diseases burdens which are HIV, TB, Malaria and Hepatitis while promoting reduction of Maternal/Infant mortality and morbidity through her MCH Care programming.
Our key program activities majors on public health promotion providing information on these disease areas through the conduct of public awareness using media platforms, lectures & seminars among closed group communities, community dialogues sessions and medical outreaches to provide point of care services such as free counselling and screening, vaccination, referrals for treatment and care & support services using home base care services and the facilitation of health support groups among infected and affected individuals.
These activities are aimed at increasing awareness and prevention of public health diseases while creating demand for the uptake of healthcare services among the general public and key population groups; keen to these is the promotion of behaviour change for sustained healthy life styles that will contribute to the reduction of infection/disease spread in our communities.
Our Vision is to attain sustainable human society.
