ELOHIM Foundation is a Nigerian non-profit development and humanitarian organization founded in 2001, dedicated to strengthening families, communities, and society through people-centred socio-economic interventions services.

The Foundation works across public health, child protection & gender, socio-economic development, environment & agriculture, and research & innovation.

Over the years the foundation has worked with major national and international partners, including USAID, the World Bank, Global Fund, CDC, and Lloyd’s Register Foundation. Guided by best practices, partnerships, and evidence-based approaches, Elohim Foundation promotes inclusive, resilient, and sustainable development nationwide.

GOVERNANCE STRUCTURE

The foundation operates through four interrelated bodies:

  1. Board of Trustees (BoT) – The highest decision-making body, responsible for strategic approvals, policy ratification, and oversight.
  2. Chief Executive Officer/Founder – Provides leadership and vision.
  3. Management Board (MB) – Led by a Project Director and supported by four departmental managers: Operations, Programs, Grants/Assets, and Research & Data Management, who are supported by senior and mId level personnel for the day-to-day functions of the foundation.
  4. Volunteer Team – Project-based volunteers serving as frontline implementers.

The MB oversees daily operations and program implementation through units led by senior officers or team leaders. Communication flows vertically and horizontally across teams to enhance collaboration.

Membership to the BoT is by nomination, while MB and unit staff are recruited professionally; volunteers are engaged as needed per project. The BoT meets biannually, the MB meets monthly, and unit teams meet weekly. The seven-member board, composed of experienced professionals, is structured into four technical working groups (TWGs): Programs, Finance, Research & Data Management, and Human Resources & Administration. Since CAC registration, the board has been reconstituted twice (2010 and 2025, the latter still in process).
